CONFERENCE OVERVIEW
The Ventura County Resource Conservation District, in partnership with Coastal Quest, is proud to present the first California Wildfire Conference as a project of the Ventura County Wildfire Collaborative. This three-day exchange will bring together a diverse community of wildfire practitioners to focus on understanding, preventing, and recovering from wildfires. The conference will be held from October 24-26, 2023, in Ventura County at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library.
WHO'S ATTENDING
Participants are drawn from California, Western US States, and globally where wildfire and communities interface. Attendees include local and national government agencies/leaders, natural resource managers/landowners, California Tribes, community leaders/organizations, and multi-sectoral collaboratives/councils.
We invite Firewise/Firesafe Councils and Collaboratives who are developing wildfire adaptation and mitigation plans and implementing solutions. This event will be open to 200 in-person attendees, and select sessions will be recorded and shared after the conference.
